Bus Transfers To and From Logan Airport

Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts has several options of transfer to and from the airport. Please make sure to collect your luggage from the baggage claim area in your arrivals hall before proceeding to your choice of transfer.

On-airport shuttle

The airport has four separate passenger terminals and it is easy to move in between them as necessary using the free shuttle bus service provided by Massport (Massachusetts Transportation Authority). There are stops in front of all the terminals as well as at the Car Rental Center, the Water Transportation Dock and the Airport Station.

The shuttle service has several different routes:

• Route 11 – Runs between all terminals and the airport subway station during the hours of 10.00AM to 6.00PM.
• Route 22 – Runs between terminals A and B, the airport subway station and the Car Rental Center between the hours of 10.00AM and 6.00PM.
• Route 33 – Runs between terminals C and E, the airport subway station and the Car Rental Center between the hours of 10.00AM and 6.00PM.
• Shuttle Bus 55 – Runs between all of the terminals, the subway station and the Car Rental Center during early morning and late evening off-peak hours.
• Shuttle Bus 66 – Serves all of the terminal, the airport subway station, LOC, and the Water Transportation Dock.
• Shuttle Bus 88 – Runs between all terminals and the Economy Parking Garage.

The buses are low to the ground and allow for luggage.

Silver Line

The Silver Line Route SL1 is a rapid transit bus service between Logan Airport and South Station, via Waterfront and it is free of charge.

It also includes the free transfer to the Red Line which provides connections to:

• Cambridge
• Downtown Boston
• Harvard University
• Massachusetts General Hospital
• MIT

This is your best option to transfer directly to South Station Rail & Bus Terminal for connections to Amtrak as well as Commuter Rail and Bus if your destination is reached through one of those services.

South Station is one of the major transportation hubs in Boston and it allows for transfer to many different locations, both locally and outside of the local area.

The service runs from approximately 5.30AM to 12.30AM all days of the week, and it is accessible for the disabled.

Logan Express

Logan Express is a nonstop bus service between Logan International Airport and Back Bay, Braintree, Framingham, Peabody and Woburn.

The service operates on a first come, come serve bases and there are no reservations.

The fares vary according to your destination range between $12 and $25 depending on destination and tickets are purchased directly on board from the driver or ahead of time online.

The bus departs from Terminal A, followed by Terminal B Stop 1, Terminal B Stop 2, Terminal C and lastly Terminal E.

Travel time is between 30-45 minutes, but it is wise to allow for some extra time during periods of heavy traffic as the risk of delays are greater during those times.

The bus stops at all terminals and the service operates daily between 5.00AM and 9.00PM.
